Freshman County Champion - Wood-Ridge High School

  • 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 (1st, 3rd, 4th), 2007 (1st, 4th, 6th), 2008 (1st, 2nd)

Since 2002, with over 420 schools in NJ, my throwers have earned 17 medals at The NJ State Meet of Champions, including 11 Top 4 finishes and 3 State Champions.

 

With 54 schools in Bergen County, my throwers have earned 25 medals at The Bergen County Meet of Champions, including 6 Boys Champions, 3 Girls Champions and 20 Top 3 Finishes.

​

Wood-Ridge broke the 3-man Bergen County Relays record: 511 feet. IHA Girls broke the 3-man Bergen County Relays record: 334-8. Fair Lawn Girls then broke this record in 2022: 377 ft.

Five 3-man 1st Places in Bergen County Relays

2008 at The Bergen County Meet of Champions: out of 54 Bergen County schools, top 18 boys and 18 girls throwers qualified. Our girls throwers took up 6 spots, and our boys 7 spots.

​

Through the 2010 season, Joe coached 22 of the top 100 throwers in county history, including 9 of the top 10 performances by 3 separate state record holders. On the Girls side, Joe built up an incredible resume headed by all decade thrower Shannon Sullivan. Joe coached over a dozen of the county's all time females and counting.
